Syrian government and SDF announce integration deal

The Syrian government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have announced a comprehensive ceasefire and a phased integration of military and administrative structures into the Syrian state.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that under the deal, front-line forces in northern Syria will withdraw, government security forces will deploy to key cities including Hasakah and Qamishli, and local security units will be merged.

The agreement follows recent advances by government forces that pushed the SDF into a smaller area and includes forming new military units incorporating SDF brigades. Officials say implementation will begin immediately, with the aim of unifying territory and supporting reconstruction.
