Turkiye urges diplomacy over Iran tensions

Peace in Iran is important both for us and for the region. We are opposed to any military intervention in Iran.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is on a visit to Ankara.

“All problems should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. We call on the United States and Iran to come to the negotiating table. As Turkiye, we are ready to do whatever we can for peace. There should be no foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs. We are closely monitoring developments,” the minister said.
