Araghchi tells Witkoff Tehran open to agreement

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told US envoy Steve Witkoff in a phone call that Tehran is ready to pursue a deal, Israeli media outlet Ynet reported.

Axar.az informs that according to publication, Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei approved closing the matter quickly, as long as Tehran's conditions are met.

Ynet writes the conversation took place via regular cell phones—from Tehran to the U.S.—between Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. intermediary Steve Witkoff, with Trump’s closest advisor, Jared Kushner, on the line.

The report also highlighted that Israel was not involved in the discussions and learned of them through other channels.
