Trump's approval hits new 36% low amid Iran war

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 36%, the lowest point since his return to the White House, according to a recent poll.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters/Ipsos poll, this decline is primarily driven by surging fuel prices and growing public opposition to the war in Iran.

While the President campaigned on a platform of economic vibrancy and avoiding wars, only 25% of Americans now approve of his handling of the cost of living, and just 29% approve of his overall economic leadership.

Public skepticism toward the military conflict is also rising, with 61% of respondents now disapproving of the strikes on Iran.

Although the President has suggested the war may soon wind down, 46% of Americans believe the conflict will leave the U.S. less safe in the long run.

Despite these challenges and the fact that 63% of the country views the economy as weak, the drop in popularity has not yet translated into a clear advantage for Democrats, as voters still narrowly favor Republicans on issues of the economy, immigration, and crime ahead of the November midterm elections.
