USS Gerald R. Ford departs Croatia

The USS Gerald R. Ford has departed Croatia following a five-day port visit.

Axar.az reports, citing the U.S. Navy, that the next destination of the world’s largest aircraft carrier has not been disclosed.

According to the Navy, the carrier “remains ready for full mission tasking in support of national objectives across any area of operation” and has completed scheduled repairs while taking on supplies to sustain ongoing operations.

The carrier, which played a key role in the U.S.-Israeli air campaign against Iran, later sailed to Crete and Croatia after a March 12 laundry room fire injured two sailors and caused significant damage to about 100 berths.
