US denies Iran claim of downed fighter jet

The U.S. military has rejected a claim by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that it shot down an “enemy” fighter jet over Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports that U.S. Central Command said in a post on X that all American fighter aircraft are accounted for and no jet has been lost.

CENTCOM also noted that Iran has made similar claims multiple times in the past, describing them as false.
