IRGC intelligence chief killed in airstrikes

Major General Majid Khatami, the intelligence chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in airstrikes in the early hours of April 6.

Axar.az reports that the IRGC announced this in a statement on Monday morning.

Khatami served as the head of IRGC Intelligence, the organisation responsible for Iran’s military counterintelligence, surveillance of internal dissent, foreign intelligence operations, and coordination of the IRGC’s covert activities across the region.
