Iran halts US talks after Trump threat

After US President Trump threatened to wipe out a “whole civilization” Tehran has stopped engaging in indirect negotiations with Washington.

Axar.az informs, citing New York Times, Iran has stopped engaging in indirect negotiations with the Trump administration, through mediators from Pakistan and other countries, to halt the fighting, according to three Iranian officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe sensitive diplomacy.

But Iran was still talking with Pakistan, which could leave the door open to resuming diplomacy.
