Netanyahu says US-Iran ceasefire does not include Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issues a statement welcoming the ceasefire between the US and Iran, while stressing that it does not cover Lebanon.

Axar.az informs, citing The Times of Israel, that the statement was released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office just four hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the halt of strikes.

The document also notes that Israel supports the US effort to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terror threat to America, Israel, Iran’s Arab neighbors and the world.

"The United States has told Israel that it is committed to achieving these goals, shared by the US, Israel and Israel’s regional allies, in the upcoming negotiations.

The two-weeks ceasefire does not include Lebanon,” the premier’s office adds.
