Iran names delegation for Pakistan talks with U.S.

Iran’s new National Security Council Secretary, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, will be part of the Iranian delegation attending talks with the United States in Pakistan.

Axar.az reports, citing Al Mayadeen, the delegation will also include Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi.

According to the report, Iran has made the inclusion of Lebanon in any ceasefire agreement a non-negotiable precondition for entering talks.

Tehran considers ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon a strategic obstacle, warning that negotiations would be meaningless unless the Lebanese ceasefire is fully addressed.
