US to expand weapons production with automakers

US President Donald Trump has said that the country is expanding its defense manufacturing capacity through cooperation with major automakers.

Axar.az reports that the remarks were made by Trump while speaking to reporters at the White House.

"We're building many plants throughout the country. They're dealing with General Motors and Ford. I know General Motors is all excited about building weapons now. They have some plants which are going to switch over and we're going to build weapons, including the Patriot, Tomahawk, and lots of other things," he said.
