Russia and Ukraine have carried out an exchange of civilian detainees.

Axar.az reports that Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova announced the exchange.

According to Lantratova, seven Russian citizens were returned from Ukraine. Five of them were residents of Russia's Kursk region, including a woman from Sudzha, while the remaining two were from other regions.

She added that seven detainees were also returned to Ukraine as part of the exchange.

It should be noted that Russia and Ukraine exchanged 160 prisoners of war each on the previous day.
