Gunfire and an explosion were reported in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.

Axar.az reports, citing Pakistani media, that police and emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene to bring the situation under control.

The area has been cordoned off, according to the report.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties.

At least six people were killed in a terrorist attack on the Pakistan Rangers headquarters in Karachi, the country's largest city.

According to the sources, three Pakistan Rangers personnel and three terrorists were killed in the attack.

The report added that special forces are currently conducting a clearance operation at the scene.
