Mediators propose Iran-US meeting before November 4

Iran is seeking to shorten the implementation period of a proposed agreement with the United States from seven days to four, as mediators discuss holding a meeting in Turkiye before November 4 to avert renewed military confrontation.

Axar.az reports, citing Al Arabiya, that the sources said the latest proposal includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the US naval blockade of Iranian ports and addressing Tehran’s nuclear program, including inviting international inspectors to visit Iranian nuclear facilities.

Consultations are underway between Iran and regional mediators over a possible meeting in Turkiye aimed at resuming negotiations and preventing another round of US and Israeli strikes against Tehran, the sources added.
