Bryza: Democracy in Georgia is under threat

Democracy is abandoned in Georgia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza. According to him, the failure of the government to reach an agreement with the opposition on April 19 threatens democracy:

"The government is responsible for that. Their refusal to accept the Charles Michel agreement is against democracy. The political situation is very polarized. In the run-up to the election, there were frequent clashes between media representatives and politicians.

He said that the United States still supports Georgia's integration into NATO.
