Member of Novosibirsk city council of Russia, independent deputy Helga Pirogova, fled to Georgia after a criminal case was opened.

Axar.az reports that the deputy herself wrote about this on her social network account.

She said that she should have been interrogated by the Russian Investigative Committee on July 25. The reason for this was Pirogova's comment on Twitter about the funeral of Russian soldiers.

"It's indescribable, I want to resurrect them all, slap them hard on the cheeks, and then let them go back to their graves. They wrongly arranged a luxurious funeral for them," she said in a comment posted by the family, who thanked the authorities for the luxurious funeral.

After the investigation began, it was revealed that Pirogova was in Tbilisi.
