The Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, explained how the Pentagon sees the situation in the Senate Armed Forces Committee.
Axar.az reports that these words were written by the well-known Russian political expert Sergey Markov.
He said that the Pentagon's view can be summarized as follows:
1. Russia's military capabilities are seriously destroyed in heavy battles;
2. Russia lacks military equipment, so it sends very old tanks into battle;
3. Russia's missiles and missiles will not be enough for an intensive battle;
4. The Russian authorities cannot cope with the production of weapons. Therefore, Russia is forced to ask for help from Iran and North Korea;
5. The front line has not changed for several months now;
6. Thanks to the help of weapons from the West, the Ukrainian army was able to create a strong group;
7. The Ukrainian army will be ready to attack as soon as the weather conditions allow;
8. A spring offensive will give the Ukrainian army a good chance for success.
"From this position, it follows that the Pentagon is really making a big bet on the spring counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army. The success or failure of this counter-attack can be decisive not only for Ukraine, but also for Russia and the entire modern world order," Markov said.
