On June 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyar Saidov, had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told that during the telephone conversation, the security situation in the region as a result of the Israeli-Iranian conflict, issues arising from the allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and preparations for the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which is scheduled to be held in Istanbul on June 21-22, were discussed.
