In May of this year, 244,079 foreigners and stateless persons visited Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs according to the State Tourism Agency, this marks an increase of 4,808 people, or 2%, compared to the same month last year.

From January to May, a total of 979,963 visitors entered the country — 14,408 more than the same period in 2024, representing a 1.5% year-on-year growth.

Russia accounted for the largest number of tourists in May, with 62,809 visitors — a 9% decrease from the previous year. Turkiye followed with 41,299 visitors, showing a 10% increase, while India ranked third with 23,326 visitors, a 21% rise compared to last year.
