Georgia should make the most of the remaining time to obtain the status of a candidate country for the European Union (EU) at the end of the year.

Axar.az reports that this was said by EU ambassador to Georgia Pavel Gerchinsky.

"It is very important to use the remaining time until the end of the year to achieve as much progress as possible on the 12 priorities. It is also important to receive good news from Georgia," Gerchinsky said.

The diplomat noted that the European Commission is currently working on the preparation of the result.
