The Russian State Duma raised the maximum age limit for military service from 27 to 30. The current minimum age was kept at 18. This suggests that Russian authorities are prioritizing legislative changes to allow more men to be drafted quickly.

Axar.az reports that British intelligence has released information about this.

While the conscripts will not be stationed in Ukraine, additional conscripts will reportedly replace professional and conscript soldiers in other positions in Russia:

"Putin signed the law, which envisages a gradual increase in the upper age limit for conscripts in the reserve. "Now they can mobilize officers up to 70 years old."
