As a sign of solidarity with the people of Israel, the Eiffel Tower will be illuminated in the colours of the Israeli flag.

Axar.az reports that Paris Mayor Ann Hidalgo X wrote these words on her social network account.

"In memory of the victims of terrorism carried out by Hamas, the light of the Eiffel Tower will be turned off tonight at 11:00 p.m. As a sign of solidarity with the people of Israel, tomorrow evening, the Eiffel Tower will be illuminated with the colours of the Israeli flag," the mayor wrote.

It should be noted that Hamas and "Islamic-Jihad" launched the "Aqsa Storm" operation on October 7 and attacked Israel. As a result of the attack, 700 Israeli citizens died and more than 2,200 residents were injured.

The Israeli army has started retaliatory measures. So far, 256 Palestinians have been reported dead.

The Israeli army announced that 44 soldiers were killed.
