The letter of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi, a political prisoner from Zanjan who is detained in Tehran's Evin prison, has been published.
Axar.az reports that Sweden's SVT channel covered the letter of the human rights defender and said that it was the answer to the questions addressed to Mohammadi by the TV channel from Evin prison by secret means.
In the letter, N. Mohammadi talks about his struggle for freedom and equality:
"Imprisonment, moral torture, permanent solitary confinement, conviction after conviction... has not and will not stop me! Even if it costs my life, I will fight for freedom and equality," Mohammadi wrote in his letter.
He said that he misses his children, whom he has not seen for 8 years, but this does not discourage him.
Narges Mohammadi, who was born in the city of Zanjan in southern Azerbaijan, is currently being held in Evin prison in Tehran. He was sentenced to 10 years and 8 months in prison and 154 lashes.
