The European Union will not be able to secure itself without the help of the United States, and replacing Washington's capabilities in NATO will cost the Europeans decades and billions of dollars of investment.

Axar.az reports that the "Politiko" publication wrote about this.

"Will Europeans be able to unite and defend themselves without Washington?" History shows that they will simply return to their previous state and plunge into chaos," the publication said.

It was noted that after the defeat of Donald Trump in the 2020 elections, Europe returned to its previous state:

"Biden, an old transatlanticist, tried to undo Trump's damage to NATO and allowed the Europeans to return to their comfort zone. While Biden's warm embrace gave Europeans an imaginary sense of security, the EU failed to increase arms production. Instead, Europe hid under the cloak of the United States."
