The leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Khalid bin Omar Batarfi, has died.

Axar.az reports that the "Site" group, which operates in the field of information and security in the United States, released information about this.

In the report, Saad bin Atef Al-Awlaki is now the new leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

The video showed Batrafi's body covered with a flag bearing the name and emblem of al-Qaeda.

The details of when 40-year-old Khalid Batarifi died and the cause of death have not been released.
