After winning a six-year term, Vladimir Putin is on course to become the oldest Russian leader to ever serve as president.

Axar.az reports that "Times" publication writes about this.

It was reported that if he remains in power until October 2028, i.e. until he turns 76, he will surpass former USSR leader Leonid Brezhnev, one of the longest-serving leaders of the Kremlin. If he wins again in 2030, he will surpass Joseph Stalin as Russia's longest-serving leader.

It should be noted that according to the changes made to the Russian constitution in 2020, Putin can run for another term, i.e. in 2030.
