On April 26, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Ahmed Al-Jabir, in Berlin.

Axar.az reports that Sultan Ahmed Al-Jabir conveyed the greetings of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to the President of the UAE.

Sultan Ahmed Al-Jabir expressed his satisfaction with the UAE's close cooperation with Azerbaijan as the chairman and host of COP28, pointed out that the UAE has not spared Azerbaijan's support for COP29, and emphasized that they are ready to work together and cooperate in this direction.

The head of our state noted the importance of joint action between Azerbaijan and the UAE and the importance of creating a "troika" mechanism at COP28.

During the conversation, issues of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE were discussed, ideas were exchanged regarding the creation of renewable energy export opportunities as a result of the investments made by the UAE in the green energy sector of our country and the increase of potential in this direction.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
