On May 6, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Igor Babushkin, the governor of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, it was stated that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation are successfully developing in various fields, and it was emphasized that the cooperation of Azerbaijan with different regions of Russia, including the Astrakhan region, contributed to this work.

Noting the recent successful visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Russia, it was reported that this visit demonstrated further strengthening of relations. Within the framework of this visit, the head of state, together with the President of Russia, in a joint meeting with veterans and workers of the railway sector in Moscow on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Baikal-Amur Highway, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the participants of the event honoured the services of the Great Leader in the realization of this project and emphasized that this shows the sincerity of the relations. and makes you feel proud.

First of all, the governor of Astrakhan province congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his confident victory in the presidential elections and valued it as the infinite confidence of the Azerbaijani people in the head of our state.
