The Azerbaijan U-18 men's national basketball team claimed its first-ever group-stage victory in Division B of the FIBA U18 European Championship, being held in the Croatian cities of Rijeka and Opatija.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan faced Ukraine in its second group-stage match.

After trailing at halftime, the Azerbaijani team mounted a strong second-half comeback to secure a 77–68 victory.

Emanuel Agbason was named the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP) after recording 20 points and 17 rebounds, playing a key role in his team's success. The victory marked Azerbaijan's first-ever group-stage win in the history of the U-18 European Championship Division B.

Azerbaijan will play its next group-stage match against Iceland on July 26 at 12:30 p.m. Baku time.
