Iran, Armenia to establish joint working group

Iran and Armenia will establish a joint specialized working group to address gas trade issues in the energy sector.

Axar.az reports, citing the Mehr news agency, the agreement was announced following a meeting in Tehran today between Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.

Paknejad said the two sides discussed cooperation in the energy sector, including energy trade, the export of technical and engineering services, refinery construction, and meeting Armenia's demand for petroleum products.

Paknejad also announced an agreement to establish a joint specialized working group and said Armenia's minister had been invited to launch the group's activities as soon as possible so that the results of its work could be reviewed at the next bilateral meeting.
