On April 24, Armenia responded to the appeal sent by the Russian deputies.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan.

According to Simonyan, the reply was sent by Sargis Khandanyan, the chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the Armenian Parliament, a day or two later:

"My colleague sent a reply a long time ago. It was just more appropriate to give such an answer to Zakharova."

It should be noted that earlier, the official representative of the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow is waiting for a response from the Armenian colleagues to the appeal sent by the Russian parliamentarians.

Simonyan said during his speech at the conference of parliament chairmen of the EU countries that considering that the focus of the conference is on the issue of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the Middle East conflict, he confirms that his country firmly defends the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as Moldova, Georgia, Cyprus and all other countries. His speech caused a harsh reaction from the Russian side.
