Contacts of Caucasus countries with NATO is their sovereign right, Russia observes but focuses on bilateral relations.

Axar.az reports that the spokesman of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, said this while talking about the tour of NATO head Stoltenberg in the South Caucasus.

"Attempts to expand the influence of the alliance are unlikely to add stability," he said.

It should be noted that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is currently visiting Yerevan after Baku and Tbilisi.
