Israel launched airstrikes on Damascus, the capital of Syria.

The rocket hit a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus.

At least 6 people were killed as a result of the Israeli air force hitting the Mezze neighborhood, where the Iranian embassy and consulate is located, in the west of the Syrian capital. Fire brigades arrived at the scene.

"Al Hadath" TV channel reported on this.

According to the TV channel, one of the rockets fell into a villa used for meetings with representatives of Lebanese and Palestinian organizations. The Iranian ambassador was at the scene, but was not injured.


As a result of the missile attack, several Iranian diplomats and military advisors were killed. Their names will be announced later.

Hossein Akbari, Iran's ambassador to Syria, informed about this.

The ambassador emphasized that the debris was not cleaned up after the strike.

"We think 5-7 people died. The exact numbers will be announced later."
