The Iranian General Staff also released a statement regarding the discovery of the crash site of President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter.

Axar.az reports that the Iranian General Staff of the Armed Forces has confirmed that the information about the "Akinci" UAV discovering the crash site of Raisi's helicopter is once again denied.

"The search operations began from the ground due to extremely adverse weather conditions, the geographical complexity of the region, as well as the distant location of the area where the helicopter crashed, despite being equipped with Iran's advanced UAVs equipped with SAR radar and being on a mission in the northern Indian Ocean. After declaring cooperation with friendly countries, the General Staff agreed to the offer of the closest country, namely Turkiye. However, despite Turkiye sending UAVs equipped with night vision and thermal cameras to the region, the lack of equipment to detect and manage points under the clouds prevented them from accurately determining the location of the helicopter crash, and finally, they returned to Turkiye. Eventually, on Monday morning, the location of the helicopter crash was discovered by an Iranian UAV brought from the mission in the northern Indian Ocean and ground rescue forces," noted the General Staff.

It is worth mentioning that the search for the "Akinci" UAV and the discovery of the crash site were watched live by 6 million viewers.
