The Georgian parliament has overridden the veto placed by the president on the draft law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence".

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

"Papuashvili stated that the law was adopted with 84 votes in favor and 4 against," Papuashvili said.

According to him, a possible majority of votes in parliament was required to override the veto.

It should be noted that Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili had vetoed the draft law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence" adopted by parliament on its third reading.
