The European Union once again extended the sanctions imposed in June 2014 on the annexation of Crimea to Russia.

Axar.az reports that this is stated in the statement of the EU Council.

"Today, the Council decided to extend the sanctions imposed by the EU in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation until June 23, 2025," the document says.

It should be recalled that the current restrictive measures were first introduced in June 2014. It includes bans on the import of products into the EU from Crimea or Sevastopol, as well as on infrastructure or financial investments from these areas, as well as tourism services.
