Becoming a full member of the European Union (EU) remains a strategic goal for Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at a press conference he held with his Estonian counterpart Alar Karis in Ankara.

"As we regularly emphasize, becoming a full member of the European Union is our strategic goal. It is in our common interests for the EU to approach Turkiye from the same position. I am sure that Estonia's support to Turkiye in this context will increase further. I told Karis about my expectations," Erdogan said.
