Mahmoud Abbas may visit Russia in August

The visit of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to Russia is being prepared, the dates will be announced later.

Axar.az reports that Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, said this.

"Indeed, this trip is being prepared. We are waiting for it and when the time comes, we will announce the dates of the visit," he said while answering the question that Mahmoud Abbas could visit Russia by the end of the summer.

It is noted that Mahmoud Abbas intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit. The last personal meeting of the leaders of the two countries took place in February 2018.

It should be noted that on June 25, the deputy chairman of the political bureau of Hamas, Musa Abu Marzouk, visited Moscow.
