PKK members suspected of burning forests in Iraq were detained.

Axar.az reports that Midad Musavi, the spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Internal Affairs, released information about this.

According to him, as a result of the operation carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the Kurdish Region of Iraq, 3 people were captured, two in Kirkuk and one in Diyala province.

Mousavi said that after the forest fires, the detainees said that they planned to set explosions in the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline and fires in Shorja and Sadr regions of Baghdad.

Hemin Mirani, an official of the Kurdish Autonomous Region of Iraq, said that those detained were members of the PKK terrorist organization.
