On July 4, a meeting in the "SCO plus" format is being held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is participating in the event.

It should be noted that the heads of state and government of 16 countries participated in the Summit held in the "SCO plus" format. The head of our state is participating in the Summit at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Gasim-Jomart Tokayev in his capacity as the Chairman of the SCO. It should be noted that this is the second participation of President Ilham Aliyev at the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Before that, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev, the head of state participated in the summit meeting of the organization held on September 16, 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, as the chairman of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The fact that Azerbaijan has been invited to the Summit of such a prestigious organization for the second time is an expression of the global reputation of our country, especially President Ilham Aliyev, and the high respect shown to the head of our state.
