New British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held his first press conference for journalists.

Axar.az reports that he said that the new government has already started its activities. K. Starmer pointed out that he will go on a trip to visit all subjects of Great Britain on July 7.

"First, I will go to Scotland, then to Northern Ireland, and then to Wales, where I will meet with the first ministers," he said.

The Prime Minister has said that he wants to build a different way of working in the UK. Starmer has already spoken with a number of world leaders after taking office and noted that he will go to Washington next week for the NATO Summit.

In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that security and defense issues are the number one task of the government.
