U.S. deploys missile destroyer to Spain

The U.S. has permanently deployed its fifth missile defense destroyer, the "USS Oscar Austin," to the port of Rota, Spain.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by "Military Times."

It has been noted that this decision is related to Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent changes to his nuclear doctrine.

Additionally, it has been mentioned that the U.S. Navy plans to send a sixth destroyer to Spain next year.

Currently, there are already four U.S. "Aegis" class destroyers in Europe.
