Azerbaijan and Colombia hold first consular consultations

The first consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Colombia were held in a video conference format.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Colombian delegation was headed by Patricia Cortes Ortiz, Head of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia.

During the consultations, discussions were held on the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the consular field between Azerbaijan and Colombia, including the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements in the field.

In addition, discussions covered the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens of both countries, the development of relations in the areas of migration and internal affairs, the digitalization of the legalization or apostille process for official documents, and the simplification of mutual travel between the citizens of the two countries.
