On October 4, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Moscow Rahman Mustafayev.

Axar.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia that Sergey Lavrov sincerely welcomed the head of the diplomatic mission of the friendly state, which is a strategic partner and ally, and wished him success in his work.

Later, Rahman Mustafayev met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and presented him with copies of the ambassador's credentials.

"During the conversation, the progressive development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations was emphasized, some topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed. The schedule of the upcoming interstate contacts was reviewed," the information says.
