Erdogan, Putin discuss Ukraine talks in phone call

A phone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency.

During the call, the leaders discussed both bilateral relations and regional issues.

Erdogan emphasized to his counterpart the importance of launching the third round of negotiations with Ukraine and stated that Istanbul is ready to host the talks.

Vladimir Putin thanked Erdogan for his willingness to facilitate direct Russia–Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul.

Putin also reaffirmed his commitment to finding a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
