The US administration's decision to revoke the visas of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian officials planning to attend the UN General Assembly is an unfair step that undermines diplomacy.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by AKP spokesman Omer Chelik.

He said that trying to silence Palestine in the face of growing international support for a two-state solution would undermine peace efforts:

"Preventing a legitimate authoritarian figure who was invited to the UN General Assembly is an attempt to make the organization meaningless."
