Iran and Armenia discuss strategic cooperation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan in Tehran on August 30.

Axar.az informs that Iranian media reported on this.

They discussed bilateral relations between Tehran and Yerevan, increasing trade turnover between the two countries, and regional processes.

In addition, it was reported that the parties exchanged views on the North-South transport corridor.

A. Grigoryan noted that Yerevan is ready to sign a comprehensive document on strategic cooperation with Tehran.

The Security Council Secretary also noted the active participation of Iranian companies in Armenia. He added that Armenia is ready to increase trade volumes with Iran several times.

M. Pezeshkian, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the results of his recent visit to Yerevan, calling it successful and productive.
