Despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s ultimatum, Russian leader Vladimir Putin has no intention of abandoning his goals in Ukraine or ending the war. In the worst-case scenario, Putin may initiate forced mobilization in Russia and continue the fight.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by American professor Maria Lipman.

“Trump’s pressure and growing economic problems in Russia may eventually force Putin to accept failure and make peace with Ukraine,” she said.

Lipman emphasized that Putin would sacrifice Russia’s stability through mass mobilization and harsh coercive measures: “In Ukraine, Putin is willing to risk everything.”
