Kyiv cannot use the ceasefire to improve its position.

Axar.az reports that Russian President Volodymyr Putin said this.

He said that a ceasefire on the contact line is impossible until peace talks with Ukraine begin.

"Now we cannot make a ceasefire decision hoping that the other side will take a positive step. "We cannot allow the enemy to take advantage of the ceasefire to improve their positions, rearm, complete their army through forced mobilization and prepare to continue the armed conflict."

Putin emphasized that he never refused negotiations with Ukraine.
