Due to the activity observed in the volcano of the same name located on the Italian island of Stromboli, a state of emergency mobilization of the civil defense forces has been declared.

Axar.az reports that the Minister of Civil Defense and Maritime Policy of Italy, Nello Musumechi, signed a decree on this.

The minister said that taking into account the opinion of volcanologists, a red warning level was declared in the region.

According to the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the level of activity in the volcano has intensified. This situation is not expected to change in the short term.
